Welcome, Dr. Anis Dizdarevic!

Please welcome Dr. Anis Dizdarevic back to the department. Dr. Dizdarevic is a pain medicine specialist joining us in the Division of Orthopedic and Regional Anesthesia and he is interim program director of the Regional Anesthesia Acute Pain Medicine Fellowship. His professional interests also include minimally invasive anesthesia and the acute to chronic pain transition, an acute postoperative pain that persists beyond the anticipated healing time. 

Dr. Dizdarevic originally joined us in 2008 as a member of the Acute and Chronic Pain and Regional Anesthesia divisions. In 2017, he became Director of the Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Division at Montefiore Medical Center, and Director of Anesthesia Services at the Orthopedic Surgery Center of Excellence, also at Montefiore.

He attended Harvard Medical School and completed residency training and fellowship in interventional pain management at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Dr. Dizdarevic has three young children.  He recently moved to Westchester county, where he is sharpening his landscaping, gardening, and handiwork skills.  Welcome back to the department, Dr. Dizdarevic!
