Congratulations, Dr. Elvedin Lukovic

Congratulations to Dr. Elvedin Lukovic, recipient of Stony Wold-Herbert Fund Research Grant. Dr. Lukovic joined our department over 5 years ago when he was recruited into a special research track within our clinical residency program known as the Virginia Scholars Society. Dr. Lukovic was in the top 5% of this highly selected pool of national applicants. Dr. Lukovic’s laboratory and clinical interests in pulmonary diseases position him very well for a translational research career in intensive care medicine with a focus on pulmonary diseases.

The Stony Wold-Herbert Fund Research Grant provides funding for the clinical investigation of respiratory diseases and promotes the training of teachers, scientific researchers, and clinicians in the pulmonary field. The Fund designates approximately $200,000 annually to support individual projects focusing on lung disease.
