Department of Anesthesiology Learns Its FATE

New Workshop Coming in January

In January 2018, the Department of Anesthesiology at Columbia University Medical Center will present the Focus Assessed Transthoracic Echocardiography (FATE) Course. The course will provide physicians who are not specialist of cardiology with skills and knowledge to perform basic echocardiographic and lung ultrasound.

Utilizing the Ultrasound Airway Breathing Circulation Dolor (USabcd) learning concept which combines e-learning with focused, structured, and comprehensive hands-on training, the two-day (Basic and Advanced) course is open to physicians of all specialties within our CUMC community. The workshop provides a simple and effective roadmap to learn how to perform and interpret echocardio-graphic finding and put them into the clinical context.

The Department of Anesthesiology 2018 FATE course will take place January 20-21, 2018.  For more information or to register, please contact anesthesia_sim@cumc.columbia.edu. Limited seating available, register early.
